Washington Wetland Centre pond dipping

Harry and Peter loved pond dipping at the Wetland Centre today. They caught several creatures and then Harry used their underwater camera to project pictures of his hoglouse onto a big screen. The pond dipping area is new and purpose built for this activity and it's a great resource to make use of, especially with the staff leading the sessions.

They had a great time in the playground.

We went to visit the ducklings and goslings in the nursery.

Harry used my phone to take pictures in the insect garden. There were lots of bees on the flowers as well as flowers turning to seed which were really interesting and beautiful. Harry spent about half an hour wandering around taking photos while Peter tried out all the nearby benches!
